Ober Gatlinburg Roller Coaster

Citadel Construction provided construction services for the Ober Gatlinburg roller coaster ride. Citadel handled the site prep, construction, and installation of the entire attraction, including the public building, maintenance building, and over 3,750 feet of total coaster track on mountainous terrain, with 1,000 feet of uphill track and 2,750 feet of downhill track. The coaster reaches a top speed of 25 mph with a total ride time of 5-7 minutes. The project followed an expedited construction schedule and was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.

Citadel Construction was also brought on to renovate the outdated entrance of Ober Gatlinburg to a new, lodge-style entryway with large timber beams, shake, stone, and new summer/winer conditioned breezeway. The new look was carried over to two other entrances at Ober Gatlinburg.
